We would like to thank you and all your collegues for the great support you gave us in organizing our tour in Rajasthan, Mumbai and Kathmandu. I do travel a lot and, based on my experience, you and all Compasstour people are really the best travel agents I ever met! A special thank from all the four of us to Mr Beer, our driver:he was really helpfully, very collaborative and always on duty, he did a fantastic job! We are now thinking to visit soon South India and Laccadive Islands,as soon as we  have the dates for our trip we will contact you again.

How are You and Your Family? I am now in Italy, because I stayed some weeks in Emirates and USA, and so now I wish to extend to you my best thanks and thoughts to You and Your Company. Yes Compass was for me and my wife a great support for my first experience in India,and now I appreciate more the good service and organization that I had known. Infact all was very interesting and agreeable in this holiday. Well,because on may or june,a company, here in Italy, with  me will come for business ,and may be they'll need for some organization .If it is ok do you support them?

First: many compliments to Compass company for the perfect tour that we have done in Rajasthan. You have a very good organization. Every thing was like we wished: good hotel, exceptional driver (always attentive, kind and punctual), perfect assistance. I'll get again your organization when I'll come again in India, I hope soon.

 And now only some suggest about the tourist guides.

1) in Bikaner the guide was very kindly but did not tell us anything about the Camel Festival that was becaming just in the day that we stay there, so when we were noticied by an indian people that we met casually in the evening it was too late to see the event.

2) in Bikaner again the guide would strongly show us a textile shop in which were sell bad products (il was yhe firsth step of our tour and only after we were able to understand the fraud about quality and prices).

3) all ok in Jaisalmer (very good guide)

4) all ok in Jodhpur (professional guide)

5) in Ranakpur Temple we found the worst guide: he did'nt explain us anything; he preferred to stay on the door of the temple talking with other persons than to stay with us (and so we did not give him any tip)

6) all ok in Udaipur
7) bad in Pushkar: I think that the guide is in accord with some dishonest brahamin. He guided us from the Brahama's temple to the holy lake always saying that we should not give any offert or tip to anyone, but on the lake he said that we must give money to a brahamin for a prayer. That man insisted strongly to have a lot of euro or dollar by each of us (he asked me 500 or more euro) "for poor brahamin that live here". It was very disagreeable. Obviously we gave him only 100 rupies and stop, and he got angry with us. The guide was always near us without saying a word, not before and not after. 

8) all ok in Jaipur, fantastic town and good guide. All ok also in Dehli.

 But I want repeat all my personal thanks to the driver, a very extimable person and a great worker. He is a precious person for you. We are gratefull to you and your organization. Ciao and to see soon again.

We would like to thank you and all the people working with you - District representatives of Compass Tours, drivers and guides for the wonderful trip we had. Everything worked like we were promised and beyond.

 We would like to mention few distinct persons: First you yourself - Your answers were quick, the itinerary you suggested was very good and I enjoyed our negotiations. Secondly - all the drivers we had and especially our first driver Mr. Jogander Singh who accompanied us for 4 days and evenings - He was very attentive to all our needs way beyond just being an excellent driver. Those are very pleasant and hard working, very able and safe drivers. They drive in a very hard transport environment. Those drivers cared for us and I would like to mention that they are, in our eyes, the main power of your company. They are earning very small sums even for Indian standards and your company will do best for itself to keep those able men working for Compass Tours because they are the main reason to tell all our friends about Compass Tours.
 
The guides were good almost at all places. I would highly recommend Mr. Kumar (I don't know his surname) who was our guide at Varanasi. He suggested to us also an evening tour at the evening which was an highlight of our trip. I think that you had better enter such a tour in your regular itinerary. In addition to the night ceremony and the cremation of bodies which takes place mainly in the night, It gave us opportunity to walk the streets and see life at the street and not only through the car's window. This brings me to my last remark - better add some similar experiences instead of some of the temples. A country is more than just it's temples. This is what gave us the most satisfaction.

My wife and I thank all of you very much and would recommend you to all our friends.

Sorry for the delay on this email. It has been really busy at work lately.

Regarding my comments, here it is:

I travelled to Jodphur with Compass travel during July 06. The service all thoughout was perfect. I was worried about travelling on my own this area so I arranged for an experienced driver to take around to the sites. The company representative meets me on arrival at the station and introduced me to my driver. He also monitored the progress of my trip and accompanied me back to the station.

The driver was absolutely fantastic: drove safely, spoke perfect english and knew where he was going, he had good taste as well. All this together, for a driver in India, is pretty unusual...The car was also brand new, with a/c and all the security devices. All my front seat pictures show the brand new fire extingiser attached to the car-also rare in India. I felt so secure that I had no problem jumping in front and enjoying the full view.

The booking of my train tickets was also well arranged and really lovely guys dropped them at my hotel in Delhi.

The only thing I didn't like about my trip was the food. I don't eat Indian food and even the best hotel in Jodphur didn't have good western food. I survived on Ice cream, cheese and crackers!-no problem about that for 2 days..

It was a pity I couldn't do my whole trip as planned due to unexpected flight cancellations but I am sure I will go there again and get it all sorted and booked through compass travel. I would highly reccommend them.

On our coming back home from this unique travel, we wish to thank you for all your assistance and kindness.

First of all, we wish to underline all the positive aspects of the organization:

the extreme kindness of the drivers, the guides and all the crew of Compass tours in assisting us in every aspect and moment of our trip.

We have found such a human richness and friendship which was important to overcome the objectives difficulties to be in a complete different country.

We would above all underline two people who have been particularly nice and professional to our eyes: Man Singh, the first driver, and Prince, the guide of Varanasi. They have enriched our experience with warmness, passion and skill.

We have promised to Man Singh to send you a couple of photographs we took with him, one by e-mail and one by priority mail.

We ask you to forward them to him, as soon as you receive them.

Now, to give you a feed-back useful for your work, we would like to tell you also the negative aspects, very few indeed, we have found.

The hotels:

as you promised, all the hotels were good, except the two in Delhi. The first, both for the location and for the hotel itself, was not good. The second was even worse.

The travel by train from Varanasi to Delhi:
the standard comfort of Indian first class trains is much lower than in Italy. So, if we had known the situation, we would surely have chosen the flight.

The guides:
few of them speak a good English, so it is difficult to understand them. But, more important, few of them have the passion, the enthusiasm and competence deep enough to make the tourists confident with such a  complex, difficult and deep culture as it is the Indian culture.

As you know, tourists who decide to come to India are already a selected group and they are really keen to know and learn more than what they can have read in the books. So, it is mostly important to select  very  professional guides.

We do hope these feedbacks will help you in your work. It does not want to be just a criticism, because we really appreciated and enjoyed this travel and for us your country and friendship will remain one of the best memories of our life.

We shall strongly recommend your Company and do hope to have in the near future another opportunity to visit India.

Hi Varsha,

We were back today after the long trip in India and Rajasthan.

We want to thank you and your company for the great job made for us, for the patience in building the right trip and for the professionalism of all your cooperators, contact on site, drivers and all the people working for our security.

All was perfect, the places on Rajasthan really fantastic and the atmospheres attractive.

All the Hotels and the services was at the expected level, sometime really more than expected; that was a great surprise.

Please extend my regards and thanks to “ Pier “ the first driver (Rajasthan tour) , for 10 days was our “angel” in India, our focal point and friend.

In Corbett we also see the tiger, what more to ask?

The only bug was the second driver, really not made for this job I think. We have made all the same but the feeling was not good and you know how is important the feeling. So don’t worry for that, was only for 3 days and was not a big problem. Only I want to export our feedback.

In fact you and your company have made a fantastic experience for us in India , thank you very much for that.

See you in the next trip for another part of India.

This is our feedback, for our holidays in India. Excuse me the delay but at our return in Italy we have started to work and we have also assault by our friends for narrate our incredible tour...i have take 750 digital photos and 4 slide films...!!!

However nothing was negative. Your Agency was serious and especially always present.

Ok... now the long list of better thing! 1st - naturally - the India---his color, his rumor, his flavors, and the simplicity of the people stay forever in my heart.

Then: Kumar, our driver (and our friend), was for us many precious. Always present, always on time, kind and sympathy! Say he good-bye for us!!!

We want also salute all our friends in your Agency. And we want to tank you for the beautiful tour!
